Notification of new UPSC recruitment 2021: The Union Civil Service Commission (UPSC) is seeking to recruit staff for various positions including Assistant Engineer, Civil Hydrographic Officer, Integrated Headquarters, Junior Technical Officer (JTO), Officer Senior Civilian Hydrographic Officer, Deputy Survey Officer, Stores Officer and Deputy Director of Grade II. . Qualification for education:

  • Assistant Engineer (Naval Quality Assurance), Department of Quality Assurance (Naval), DGQA, Department of Defense Production, Ministry of Defense – Engineer Diploma in the relevant engineering disciplines from a recognized university and 2 years of practical experience.
  • Civil Hydrographic Officer, Integrated Headquarters (Navy), Directorate of Civilian Personnel, Ministry of Defense – Engineer Diploma in Civil Sciences or Computer Science or Information Technology or Master in Mathematics or Geography or Geophysics or Computer or Computer Applications or Information Technology OR Pass in the final examination of the institution of surveyors in the subdivision of Hydrographic Surveying. Three years of professional experience in the relevant field of engineering, viz. Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics and Communication or Marine or Naval Architecture or Industrial Engineering.
  • Senior Civil Hydrographic Officer, Integrated Headquarters (Navy), Directorate of Civilian Personnel, Ministry of Defense – Engineering degree in civil or computer science or information technology OR Master’s degree in mathematics or geography or geophysics or computer applications or computer science or information technology OR Pass the final exam of the Institution of Surveyors in Subdivision 1 (B) Hydrographic Surveys. Three years of experience in the compilation of nautical charts and digital cartography.
  • Assistant Engineer Grade I in Geological Survey of India, Ministry of Mines – Bachelor of Engineering or Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (AMIE) or Engineering degree in mining or mechanical or drilling from university or from a recognized institute.
  • Assistant Survey Officer at Geological Survey of India, Ministry of Mines – Bachelor of Engineering or Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (AMIE) or B.Tech degree in Civil or Mining Engineering from a recognized university. Two years of surveying experience including total station, GPS, theodolite surveying, crossing, leveling, contouring, computer software under a registered engineering or surveying establishment, mine and dam.
  • Warehouse Officer at Geological Survey of India, Ministry of Mines – Engineering degree from recognized university or institute; or Science degree with two years of experience in materials management (procurement, maintenance of stores and scientific and technical equipment and inventory control).
  • Deputy Director Grade-II (Economic Investigation) – Master’s degree in economics from a recognized university or equivalent. Two years of experience in conducting and directing surveys or surveys and research relating to small industries.

Age limit:

  • JTO & f Senior Civilian Hydrographic Officer: 35 years
  • All other positions: 30 years
