Celebrity Cruises returns to South America with Celebrity Eclipse in 2023


South America is teeming with cultures, histories, natural beauties, breathtaking wildlife and more, and Celebrity Cruises brings customers to the heart of everything the continent has to offer with the return of its “Journey WonderFULL” cruises “In 2023.

Celebrity eclipse will spend four months south of the equator, visiting 16 destinations through 14-night cruises in Antarctica and 12-night crossings in Argentina and Patagonia.

Celebrity eclipse set sail in South America

From December 2023 to April 2024, Celebrity eclipse will visit the main ports of the bucket list like Valparaiso, Chile; Buenos Aires, Argentina; and even the tip of Antarctica. Guests can get up close to Osorno Volcano in Chile, whale watching at Playa El Doradillo in Argentina, or surf the beautiful beaches of Montevideo, Uruguay.

The adventures begin with the 16-night repositioning cruise from Los Angeles to Chile that includes visits to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; Puntarenas, Costa Rica; and two nights in Lima, Peru, leaving enough time for passengers to experience the country’s most visited destination.

With eight destinations in six countries and no more than two consecutive days at sea, the 16-day crossings will guarantee guests one of the most memorable and exotic vacations ever. If passengers miss the trip to Chile, they will have a second chance for the same trip in the opposite direction as Celebrity eclipse returns to Los Angeles in April 2024.

Once settled in this dynamic part of the world, Celebrity eclipse will offer two routes. The first is a 12-night trip to Argentina and Patagonia from Valparaiso to Buenos Aires (or vice versa), while the second is a 14-night round trip to Antarctica from Buenos Aires.

Sailing in Argentina and Patagonia is rich in ports, but there are still days at sea for luxurious relaxation, while the Antarctic round trip has more cruise days which provide customers with incredible landscapes and wildlife viewing opportunities such as humpback whales, leopard seals, gentoo penguins, and more.
