Selection of scribes, exam center preparation including disinfection and other activities will begin on February 4, 2022. GATE 2022 will be held over two slots on exam days. The first slot is from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and the next between 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

GATE 2022: Exam Template

GATE, organized for admission to master’s programs and for recruitment in certain public sector companies, takes place in the form of an online computer-based test. The exam is conducted for a total of 100 points and the score is valid for three years after the announcement of the results. The GATE 2022 document will be of an objective type including three question models – Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Selection Questions (MSQs) and Numerical Response Questions (NATs). Points will be deducted for each incorrect answer in a MCQ, but there will be no negative scoring for wrong answers in MSQs or NATs.

Two new subjects have been introduced this year for candidates – GE (Geomatics Engineering) and NM (Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering), bringing the total number of GATE papers to 29. The Postgraduate Recruitment Engineering Admission Test will be will be held on Aerospace Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Mathematics, Architecture and Planning (new model), Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Biotechnology, Metallurgical Engineering , Civil Engineering, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (new paper), Engineering Chemistry, Petroleum Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Production and Industrial Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, Textile Engineering and Fiber Science, Environmental Science and Engineering, Engineering Science, Ecology and Evolution, Humanities and Social Sciences, Geomatics Engineering (New Pape r), life sciences, geology and geophysics.
