Authorities in Berlin, Connecticut, are investigating after a TikTok video shows a woman verbally accosting a U.S. Navy sailor before slapping him in the face.

The incident happened at Central Pizza on September 11.

According to the report, victim Sean Nolte Jr., who was in uniform, went to the restaurant to order pizza.

He met the woman as she was leaving the restaurant and gave her a polite smile:

“As she leaves she looks at me and says, ‘Nice smile’, very sarcastic,” Nolte said. “I say, ‘Thank you, have a nice day, ma’am. “

Several minutes later, the woman returned to the restaurant and began accusing Nolte of being an impostor and of being in costume to attract attention. Nolte then showed the woman his army, however, the woman continued to verbally assault him.

Despite the verbal abuse, Nolte says he remained polite and even thanked her husband for his service, which is when she slapped him in the face.

Bystander videotaped the assault and then posted it on TikTok.

Berlin police have since identified the woman through pipes and are investigating. On Wednesday, she was not charged.

Those who know Nolte have confirmed that he is in the Navy:

“Sean is a really good guy. He joined us right out of high school and we’re lucky to have him, ”Chief Nick Wachter of Rescue Fire Company 37, a volunteer fire department and EMS in Harrisburg, Pa. . “He enlisted in the Navy, so he’s not local anymore, but he’s still a member. “

This is a developing story.
